Having purchased a Toyota corolla last year and drive it moderately. It is super economical as the sales team we bought it from had it on a minimum level of petrol in tank. We were in shock and raced to find a petrol station before we were stopped dead on the road. I know what that feels like for various reasons with a number of cars. In fact it was a fuse link on an early model corolla other mechanics passed it as a battery problem and insisted on a recharge. It was never the problem. I came across a very intelligent and cluey mechanic who was able to trace the problem to the source. he wrote me a report to give to the auto electrician and it was a problem solved.
Back to the late model and it has a east west engine fuel injected small cylinder engine with an automatic transmission. The seating comfortable, with two seats capable to lay back and front and with a level action beneath it. The windscreen is wide and curved fully on edges for panoramic view. There are wipers on the front and rear with easy functionality with the lever. It is mostly the same as other cars except some similarities need to be checked in the owner manual. The car is a five door hatch back type. The rear seats are spacious as well as the floor space generous and flat.Early model cars types always had the axle hump making it uncomfortable for leg-room.The seats are comfortable with alarms sounding if no seat belt engaged with pressure on the seat sensors. The car as a functional synchronized alarm system where you must have that key to start car.
It has been reported in crime reports that new cars are very low in thefts these days. Rather, theft from the car itself is higher or thieves would select early models that are easier targets. The hatch is perfect for shopping or for the traveler. There is a shade cover in the back that loops over a button and a latch hooks into place. It is more for shade perhaps for shopping or a pet although the window is fixed so not suitable for a small pet. The air conditioning is quite good and can function as a heater as well as mid-range for comfortable driving.
The car itself is very smooth when driving in built up areas or out in the open. The pound pressure for tyres is twenty two pounds per square inch. We decided to have the windows tinted as an optional extra as well as extra clear coating to protect spray paint top coat. We also decided on having reverse sensors installed and may I say they are worth their weight in gold. The sensor will pick up with a sharp beep but if you come within metre sharp repetitive beeps will sound at a quick rate. It is worth it the way drivers whizz by or people cross as you reverse. The only other thing would be a camera on reversing to make it perfect.
