As the only SUV that Porsche has to offer, it is probably the best-selling vehicle that this company has to offer. This 2010 Cayenne has excellent handling, great high-speed stability, unique equipment and appearance packages, awesome acceleration in Turbo form and nice comfortable front seats. This crossover SUV has a respectable amount of off-roading aptitude that is great for those who want to take the family out to the boondocks for a nice weekend getaway.
The Porsche 2010 Cayenne midsize SUV is available in different trim levels. Standard for the trim Cayenne V6 are alloyed 17-inch wheels, rear and front foglamps, a powered adjustable height tailgate, side heated mirrors, powered front eight-way seats, cruise control, all-seasoned tires, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, upholstery made with leather and a CD stereo system with 12 speakers. The trim level Cayenne S comes with driver memory, 18-inch wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, driver memory functions and a V-8 engine.
The trim level S Transsyberia includes air suspension, a bi-plane spoiler, 18-inch wheels, lights that are roof-mounted, sport seats and faux suede upholstery. You can also add fuel tank, rock rails, reinforcements for the engine, rear lockable differentials and a rear axle. For the trim level GTS you will get a sport-tuned air suspension, 21-inch wheels, power-adjustable steering column, summer performance tires and aluminum/faux-suede trim.
For the trim level Turbo you will find included aV-8 twin-turbo, 19-inch wheels, assisted rear and front parking, a height-adjustable air suspension, a touch screen interior electronics interface, front and rear heated seats, leather upholstery that has been upgraded, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, a heated steering column, a navigation hard-drive based system, upgraded driver memory functions and a surround sound audio system with 14 speakers. The trim level Turbo S adds more power to its V-8 turbo engine, upgraded interior trim, two-toned interior color scheme sport seats, and 21-inch wheels,.
All the 2010 Cayenne’s come with AWD with the base model being powered by a V-6 3.6-liter engine that can produce 290 hp and 273 foot pound of torque which can be paired up with a six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic tranny. It has an acceleration rate of 0-60 in a 7.9 second time while the trim level Cayenne S comes with an automatic featuring a V-8 4.8-liter engine producing 385 hp and 369 pound-feet of torque with a rate of 0-60 mph in 7.1 seconds. The trim levels Transsyberia and GTS get the same V8 engine with 405 hp six speed manual with optional automatic getting 0-60 mph in a 6.8 second time. The Turbo come with a twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 with 500 hp and516 lb-ft of torque while the Turbo S sees 550 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque that manages a cool 0-60 mph in 5 seconds maxing out at 174 mph.
Fuel economy is nothing to get excited over with 14/20/16 for the V6 and 11/17/13 mpg when using a manual transmission but it does have a 7,700 pound towing capacity which is quite impressive. The overall performance and handling definitely lives up to Porches reputation, the ride is nice and brakes are strong.
