Adderal, Does It Work? Do I Need It?

Do you need Adderall? Will it work for you? What does it do?

Long story short I was told I may have ADD. Some of the telling signs to other people were when I would randomly change subject, or if something else flashy was happening while attempting to have a conversation it was constantly distracting me(so I was told).

Telling things you may have ADD to analyze yourself.

Do you enjoy reading? Most people with ADD get distracted very quickly when reading, I did.

When you have a list of tasks ahead of you is it hard to focus on just one thing?

Is tedious work where you are not switching to something else quickly hard to stick with?

Were/Are your grades in school not very good?

These are the simple things to analyze yourself that if you answered yes to you just may have ADD.

I decided to talk to my doctor about getting prescribed Adderall. He started me on a low dose 10mg amphetamine salts(generic Adderall) twice a day. I took the 10mg twice a day for a couple days, it didn’t seem to be working very well, So I upped it to 20mg once a day at about 11pm. taking 20mg made a world of difference, I felt like I had so many intelligent thoughts that I could actually think through and understand. Tedious work became enjoyable, research and reading was exciting, and just every day life being able to slow down and take it all in was amazing. My next doctor visit I asked him to up it to 20mg twice a day and it works perfectly.

What Adderall does is actually stimulate your brain so you can have more control over your thoughts. I love the feeling of Adderall and how intelligent and productive I feel when I take it. I have the rapid release and takes about 40 minutes to kick in and lasts for 4-5 hours.

If you think you have ADD talk to your doctor and see what they think, I’m in my mid 20’s and it has changed my life.
