General Motors pulled back (recall) one of their flagship product, the Chevrolet Captiva Sport, in the U.S. market. This recall came after problems are found on the parking brake.
Reported by Autoguide, Friday, July 6, 2012, reports the National Institute of Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the United States revealed that car parking brake cable is properly connected to the connecting components. It is probable that the cable be cut or removed.
As a result, the parking brake is not functioning properly and the car difficult to stop on a hill or a derivative.
Captiva Sport 2070 recorded unit of production 26 April until May 17, 2012 variant for commercial (fleet) detected the damage.
GM will start mass-improvement program on 18 July. Inspection and repair it at no charge
