As a motorcycle driver, I like seeing the signs saying, “Share the Road,” and “Check twice for motorcycles.” What other signs I like to see is, “Click it, or ticket,” and “Buckle Up, Every Rider, Every Ride.” As a car driver, I get frustrated with my seat belt digging into my stomach. As much as I hate it, I know that it will prevent an accident. Many of my friends have been in accidents and I have had a close friend die, because he was not wearing his seat belt and flew out of his truck. I received a ticket not too long ago as a passenger, for not wearing my seat belt. I had to pay court fees since I talked to the judge, and it was my first offense. It was a sunday and my family were on our way to church. The officer had no grace, or heart for that reason since I was 17, with no offenses, and we were going to church. As a motorcycle rider, I enjoy my time without a seat belt and the freedom of riding period. As much as it sounds bad I do enjoy it. When I am driving I know that the seat belt has saved many of my friends. I do get frustrated, but know I must do it to obey the law and to protect myself incase I get into an accident. For those who feel the same way, I urge you to wear your seat belt, not only to save yourself from a 200$ ticket, but for your safety.
