Coll Concept Cars: Toyota Urban Cruiser

The Toyota Urban Cruiser concept car was created Toyota’s European Design Center. The Urban Cruiser concept car unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show as a nonfunctional full-size model. 

The Toyota Urban Cruiser concept car is a mini MPV presented by Toyota. Toyota has been trying to introduce minivan in new fashion and design that’s why urban cruiser has been given a new look than other minivans. This concept car has been introduced to compete against small crossover SUVs like the Nissan Qashqai and Kia Soul. One of the main purposes behind its production is also attracting buyers of mainstream family hatchbacks. Urban cruiser concept car is Designed by Toyota ED² it debuted at the March 2008 Geneva Motor Show.

Toyota urban cruiser concept car  is powered by a 1,329,1.3-litre VVT-i petrol with 100bhp (75kW) and 132Nm of torque cc petrol engine that produces 100 hp (75 kW) and 132 N·m (97 lb·ft) with the collaboration of a 1, and a 1.4-litre D-4D AWD with 89bhp (66kW) and maximum torque of 205Nm between 1,800rpm and 2,800rpm, 90 hp (67 kW), 205 N·m (151 lb·ft) 1,364 cc turbo diesel engine . Such a tremendous power in a minivan is awesome. One can imagine the power of urban cruiser concept car which will tear down the chest of the road. The Front-wheel drive is standard in the car, but the diesel model is also offered with an all-wheel drive option.

To compete with the KIA’s company cars it was put on sale in May 2008, priced from a rather lofty £14,500. The exterior of the urban cruiser concept car has chopped roof, high waistline, wide surface, strong body work and beefed-up RAV4-style nose with strong steel bumpers.

 Urban Cruiser concept car is five seater cars will be offered with two engines. Toyota says that the diesel engine inside the urban cruiser has the lowest C02 emissions and this Means that it is an environmental friendly car.  The average fuel consumption is 57.7mpg. Both engines provide a six gear box manual.

Toyota Company has planned to sell more than 25,000 units of the Urban Cruiser concept car during its first full year of sales in Europe. This will surely bring fruit full results for Toyota.
