I am sure by now you have noticed how many car insurance companies say they can save you hundreds on auto insurance. I have called several and in a moment I will list them, each say they can and by this they mean the average according to a national study done by them. The truth is they cannot save you any money really but rather offer you choices. Yes you can save if you do this or that but then you will be forfeiting the better coverage. That goes for the “name your own price” as well. When you name you own price well if you name $80 you are only getting $80 worth of coverage! Not a hole hell of a lot. Liability at the least and you think you are getting a good offer till you have an accident. Then you will realize your mistake.
I am Geico and we will be switching to Allstate. I have a perfect driving record and 2 cars. Payments always on time and have had them for years! No deals for being a safe driver and in the off chance you need them they will screw you over big time. A semi truck hit us a few months back (he was half asleep at the wheel) and when we took the car in for an estimate it was well over $2,000 but Geico said we had previous damage. Yes but it was repaired to almost like new condition. (the back side panel and bumper) The bumper was replaced and the panel repaired and was in the process of being repainted (we had it sanded in a 12 x 12 inch area) Our fix-it guy was out of town so we could not finish the job. My family was in the car when this happened! Geico Accused us of making this up!
The accident happend on that same side and any person including to top pro’s could see the difference between the 2 accidents because one was VERY fresh paint transfer and all. The semi picked up by the side panel and dented it outward and also knocking the bolts of the tire and gouging it leaving pant transfer everywhere. Bent the panel out and also denting it in above it down to the metal!
We had full coverage! They wanted to give us after our deductable less then $50. Geico is a scam trust me!
I called Geico, Allstate, State Farm, Progressive, American Family, Esurance and The General.
Go with Allstate! They are telling you the truth and with their “safe driver” you get money off you deductible every year you don’t have an accident. I would have paid only $100 rather then $500 and according to people I have met they wont try to rip you off when the time comes you do need to cash in on their help!
