East African Safari for ‘05

Following its 50th-anniversary event in 2003, the East African Safari Rally returns in ‘05, from December 1-10. One of the world’s great classic car rallies, it will cover a marathon 4200km over nine days, through the remote and beautiful landscapes of East Africa. 1984 World Rally Champion Stig Blomqvist tops the entry list with a Datsun 260Z, while Frenchman Frederic Dor, who finished second in 2003, will return in his 911. DUTCH TRIBUTE INVITATION

On September 25-26, Zandvoort hosts the Rob Slotemaker Memorial meeting in tribute to the Dutch driver killed there 25 years ago. An exhibition of Dutch Grand Prix-winning cars will be the highlight and anyone who owns an historic sports or racing car is invited to attend. Profits will be donated to the Dutch Kidney Foundation.
