Focus ECOnetic diesel consumption of 3.5 liters Offers
The current hunt for the lowest possible emissions could not leave aside the Ford. The automaker now has announced that beginning next year will begin selling a version ECOnetic, offering a combined fuel consumption of 3.5 liters per hundred kilometers.
Drive is in charge of diesel engine 1.6-liter Duratorq TDCi 77 kW (105 hp) and a six-speed manual gearbox. Ford still did not give a torque equivalent šestnáctistovka from Ford with 115 HP to 270 Nm.
I
t is interesting to compare the fuel consumption: 1.6-liter Duratorq TDCi with 115 HP is that specified by the consumption of 4.2 liters (you can buy now), ECOnetic version which will go on sale until early 2012, offers consumption 3.5 l / 100 km, ie 0.7 liters less.
ECOnetic version is indeed more efficient, but due to the prolonged transfer probably not going to live as 115koňová version. ECOnetic uses virtually all the “eco” element which can be ordered for the new Focus. It is ranked among the aerodynamic package them with active cooler flaps, tires with low rolling resistance and transmission-optimized permanent transfer.
Technically interesting is that the intake does not use intercoolers to cool the air but water. Consumption is reduced thanks to the steel wheels fitted with special wheel covers, according to automakers that have lower air resistance than a standard alloy wheels. The standard is often disabled drivers and stop-start system – This system automatically turns off the engine when idling – for example, while standing at traffic lights.
There is also a recovery – alternator generates electricity during braking. The driver is also available called EcoMod – an information system that helps him to reduce consumption in the three areas. The system advise where to go and what sort speed.
Focus ECOnetic, a menu will appear as a five-door hatchback and station wagon. For the European market will be built in Saarlouis, Germany. Sales will begin early in 2012. The selling price has not been determined.
