Ford is issuing a recall of 450,426 vehicles in the U.S.. The NHTSA has determined to review the models Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey, beyond the Ford Escape SUV.

Ford is issuing a recall of 450,426 vehicles in the U.S.. The NHTSA has determined to review the models Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey, beyond the Ford Escape SUV.

The first two are minivans made between 2003 and 2004, which may be defective in the torque converter, which in particular cases can leave the vehicle without traction suddenly. 205,896 copies will be called the two models.

Since the Ford Escape made between October 1999 and July 2002 will have to return to the dealers. The problem is a possible defect in the brake master cylinder, which can display and fluid leak and cause fire when in contact with the ABS circuit. 244,530 owners are called the model.

The strange thing is that the recall of the Freestar and Monterey will only start in the second quarter of 2012. Since the Escape starts to be received at the dealerships from January 23.
