New Rangers body construction is designed to disperse crash forces away from the vehicle’s occupants. And on the Super cab model, the front door and rear access panel closes to form a virtual B-Pillar, which is far stronger than the conventional B-Pillar. The Duratorq 3.0L 16 valve intercooled Direct Injection Turbo Diesel engine delivers 115kW of 156 HP(horse power) at 3200rpm and a whopping 380Nm of torque at only 1,800rpm with fuel efficiency. This means that you have loads of torque throughout the range along with significantly improved acceleration, under all manner of load and towing conditions. Delivers power 143 HP(horse power) at 3500rpm and 105Kw at 3500rpm, torque and excellent fuel economy under all conditions.

VGT adapts to various engine speeds that make it possible to operate at low rpm. This allows you to feel turbo thrust at low and high engine speeds and virtually eliminates turbo lag and broadens the torque curve for rapid engine response. Steering has been optimized for easy handling in low-speed maneuvers such as parking and better control at high speeds.

The 5-speed automatic transmission in New Ranger is the best & first in its class, giving a smoother gear change and reducing “kick down”. Whilst the “Shift on Fly” feature enables New Ranger to swicth from 4×2 to 4×4 mode while moving (only for 3.0L 4×4 AT XLT model).

The legendary new 2012 Ford Ranger delivers a smooth and compliant ride, yet remains a tough truck, with a genuine ‘one tonne’ payload across the range. This is largely due to the double wishbone front independent suspension which is matched to large torsion bars, and a stabiliser bar. At the rear, the dual rate rear springs and wide diameter shock absorbers provide a comfortable ride when unladen. And then have the capability to carry over a tonne of cargo. A limited slip differential is standard across all Ranger models
