The Dodge Intrepid was launched in 1993 and was in working till 2003 when the manufacturing was stopped. The Intrepid model span over two generations, first from 1993-1997 and the second from 1997 to 2003 .The manufacturers Chrysler Corporation introduced the Intrepid generation of cars with Automatic transmission and maintained it for both the generations till 2004. The reason for not opting manual transmission was taken because the company wanted a new technology for it Intrepid generation cars. The technology used was four-speed 42LE automatic transmission and was maintained till 2004.
