How to Do Wheelie and Stoppie Stunts in Your Bike

Awesome tip and tricks for wheelie and stoppie from the world’s number one freestyle bike rider, Chris Pfeiffer.

Bike stunting is an awesome and thrilling sport to watch. Did you ever tried to do stunts on your bike? Actually, it is bit difficult to do but if you work hard nothing is unattainable… So here is how you can do wheelie and stoppie in your bike. Practice it again and again until you become a pro!

Wheelie

1-      Approach in a sit position, throttle slightly open, 1st gear, right foot ready to brake. Then close the throttle shortly and lean your upper body to the front. The front-fork drives in a little bit.

2-      In the very next moment, synchronized to the rebound of the fork: bring your upper body into an upright position again, pull back on the bar with straight arms. At the same time, open the throttle or shoot the clutch hard at mid-revs.

3-      Use only Index finger for any clutch-wheelie, you’ll need the other fingers to hold on to the bike. The right foot remains ready to brake.

4-      After a while of practice, try to get closer to the tipping point by using the throttle and the rear brake at the same time. The tipping point has been reached as soon as you can ride the wheelie at the same speed for some distance. Avoid dropping sideways by balancing the bike with your upper body.

5-      In case you go over the tipping point be cool, close the throttle and hit the rear brakes.

6-      Use some throttle while you drop to the front.

Stoppie

1-      Approach in 1st gear, pull the clutch, lift your back slightly off the seat and instantly hit the front-brake hard.

2-      Due to the over braking, the trail of the bile gets released and starts lifting up. Now it takes sensitive brake-dosage! You have got to keep the line and balance y moving you upper body to the left or right respectively.

3-      The steeper the stoppie, the further you’ll go. In a steep angle as seen very easily to not do a front flip.

4-      Keep the clutch pulled while touching down the rear wheel.
