            The Mondeo is a new name to the predecessors. The production of Ford Mondeo starts in 1993 and it is still presents. After the great success of the Mk2 or the previous model of Mondeo the new model of the Mk3 has even greater success.

            In the year 2000, the production of the new model of Ford Mondeo has started. Due to its new and innovative design the new Mondeo quickly started to replace and erase the memory of the previous model Mk2. The new Mondeo follows the tradition of being a limousine class car. The new model of course gets the initials Mk3.

            The Mk3 has nothing to do in common with the previous two models. The Mk1 was the first of the family of Mondeo but it has few weak sides and so that it was replaced with the Mk2 which was nothing more but the same Mk1 but with facelift and new features. But the Mk2 was welcomed by a great success.

            The new Ford Mondeo has petrol and diesel engines. There are 3 petrol and 1 diesel engine modifications. They start from 1.8 liters and reach 2.5 liters and the power from 85 kW to 125 kW. The engines are improved so that they have more power and less consumption of fuel.

            The types of the body are again like the Mk2 – 4 doors limousine, 5 doors hatchback and a 5 door estate. Each type has more than 10 different specifications having different features.

            The new design of the Mk3 is just astonishing. When you see the car it just grabs you and does not want to let go. Here we see new and more sophisticated design, wider body and new head and tail lights.

            The big success of Ford Mondeo did not show up late. In 2001, the Ford Mondeo 1.8 LX model won second place in the contest The Car of the Year. The Mk3 repeated the success of MK1 that was proud to win The Car Of The Year of 1994.

            New Mondeo is much faster than the previous model. However, it turns to be more economical and produces fewer emissions. Regardless of its big size, it feels more agile.
