Autoblog reports that German auto maker Mercedes-Benz is creating an app for Google Glass that will allow your car to work with the Android-powered glasses of the future. Planned features for this app allegedly include seamless transitions of navigation from Google Glass to the vehicle’s in-dash GPS unit, as well as from, including pedestrian directions to destinations as well as directions towards where the vehicle may be parked, should the user have forgotten where they left their car.
Other vehicle functions could be theoretically tied to glass, too. Imagine having voice activated windows, cruise control, locks, stereo and climate control. Voice activated infotainment systems would be interesting, too. In addition to navigation, searches launched from Google Glass could appear on the car’s larger screen, being less distracting to the driver of the vehicle.
