If you have never been to NYC, don’t go.
It has so many bad areas, so much filth, so many mean people, so much poverty, slums, graffiti, it makes the South side of Chicago look like a tourist attraction.
Even though a lot of NYC’s bad apples are being improved and cleaned, still, NYC is the worst, filthiest, ugliest city I have ever been to.
The Bronx, The South Bronx, Queens, Sugar Hill, Harlem, Hell’s Kitchen and Brooklyn have all been cleaned up over time, but they used to be the highest crime rated and poverty stricken areas in all of New York.
When I was there, there were so many people I nearly got knocked off the pavement and pushed off the subway. There are rats crawling every where including in the subway, garbage dumpsters and households.
There are scuzzy looking young people that will mug you right as you get off at a subway stop.
There are cockroaches crawling in shady resturaunts, households and in flop houses I’ll say no more about that.
There are homeless people who beg for spare change and if you don’t give them money, they get on your case about it, saying things like, “Yeah man, you’re just too selfish to give me any you s@nof a b@tch!”
Everything is soooo expensive. You can rent an apartment with a bathtub, toilet, oven and stove in one room fot 695.00 per month.
And of course the side walks and streets are filled with dirt.
I must have been to about fifty cities in the US and Canada, but I give athumbs down for New York City.
Believe me, it is NOT glamourous.
