Renault presented its new development strategy, it is called “Drive the Change” and will be applied in the next six years. The French want to have a cash flow of approximately 2 billion, to sell over 3 million units and have a profit of at least 5% by 2013.
Carlos Ghosn said that Renault was able to cope so well in this period of crisis because of Dacia cars and commercial vehicles. Said the French manufacturer and warranty costs have fallen dramatically, this means an increase in reliability.
Renault wants to get serious and hybrid car segment. The French will work in this respect with both Daimler and Nissan. Renault will launch by the end of 2012 following models: Fluence ZE, Kangoo ZE, Twizy and Zoe, following that up in 2016 to develop new ecological models.
Renault Group wants to increase the number of models, 40 models sold in 2010 and for 2013 plans to launch three more new models, and five more by 2018. Dacia will also receive a new model of family and a van. Renault will also launch new 1.6 dCi 130 hp engine, it will have a 20% lower consumption than the current diesel.
