Spanish Sports Car Unveiled – The Aspid GT-21 Invictus

A modern take on the hot rod.

Greetings, dear readers. I read today about a new car made by a company out of Spain, called Aspid. The vehicle in question is the GT-21 Invictus, and feast your eyes on it’s retro-modern appearance before we get into the technological crunch behind this sports car.

The 2+2 is rear-wheel driven, and those rear wheels are motivited by 4.4 liter DOHC V8 sourced from BMW, good for 450 horsepower and 325 foot-pounds of torque, twisting either a 7-speed double-clutch or 6-speed manual gearbox. As the car’s bare, hot-rod appearance might suggest, the GT-21 Invictus is pretty damn light – 2178 lbs, compared to say, a Corvette, which tips the scales at a comparably porcine 3405 lbs.
I wish Aspid all the best on this one – these boutique supercars are so unique, and I want to see more of them.
