In the era of 1990s, we saw a new class of vehicles beginning to take to the road. These vehicles were classy and extremely convenient. Soon they gained popularity to a very huge extent and every second person wanted to own one of these. The SUV, or in other words the sport utility vehicle, was not just great to look at but it was extremely convenient too. Class and practicality combined, a very striking and winning combination, families flocked to buy these vehicles. This car was famous for not just the comfort that it provided to its passengers but it was also known for the safety that it allowed for its passengers. So why shouldn’t have people fallen in love with it?

A new type of car though asked for a new kind of care, especially the tires of the car seemed to be subjected to great scrutiny and care. The SUV tires owing to the massive size of the cars as compared to most other models and due to the larger expected weight that they are supposed to carry are actually designed in such a manner that they may be able to take the strain of a massive amount of weight. They are made to be more durable as compared to other tires. But this greater durability as compared to the rest of the tires does not warrant that they have the guarantee to last forever. Like every other car tire, they too need to be inspected for any damage and changes. The SUV tires also need to be changed after a use of few years.

Like all other tires, how you intend to use your SUV matters in buying the right and appropriate SUV tires for your car. Buying an all season car tire when you live in a region that experiences extreme heat or extreme coldness can be a huge problem for you; the reason being that an all season car tire will never be able to resist the intense summer heat. And in winters, you need to have car tires that will always be able to provide you with the greatest grip on the road as cold weather leads towards glazing of roads that ultimately causes the tires to slip and the car to go far from its intended direction of motion. In order to make your SUV tires last longer, you must also add rims to your tires. Make sure that the tires and rims are compatible with each other. The tire must not be too much bigger than the rim nor the other way around. You must make sure that the tires and size of the rims is such that they fit each other perfectly.
