The Car Reads E-mails and News From Facebook and Twitter to The Driver
The first internet car in the world that can read e-mails as well as news from Facebook and Twitter, was presented on Wednesday at the Geneva Motor Show.
Drivers of the Bamboo Rinspeed cars can surf the Internet using a variety of voice commands. To use the technology of this car you just need to connect your cell phone or iPad in the charger of an electric car before heading to the drive.
Rinspeed Bamboo is designed by the company Harman and they presented it at the Geneva Motor Show. On the roads it could be found in about 18 months.
“The technology is designed so the driver would not be disturbed. Using voice commands the computer reads the messages and emails while driver drives a car” said company spokesman Kay Robinson.
The driver also has access to updates on Twitter and messages on Facebook while driving.
“Usually when the driver receives a message or a mail, he must stop to read it. The new technology allows you to check messages while you freely operate the vehicle and monitor the situation on the road” added Robinson.
The driver can ask the station voice commands using the infotainment technology. The car also has Wi-Fi transmitter that allows passengers to use the Internet on their laptops and cell phones, posted the Daily Mail.
