What About This Moped

I was thinking about when I purchase a moped, which one I would like to attempt to get. Streetmate or Streetmate R by Tomos seems pretty nice.

So I decided to go ahead and get one. A Moped… especially since my first experience with this was done on a common style moped. When I say common style, I mean it resembles to me just a moving chair, where you sit your feet in front of you. That is just not comfortable to me and my balance. I have on the other hand been riding a 5-speed, chopper motorcycle style moped… which is becoming a very comfortable experience.

So I started looking on-line for more sport style type mopeds. I know I have seen them before, so I started looking. First I found smaller sport bikes that where in the 125cc and 150cc motor range, but still these where not what I was out to get. Not much longer I saw one, well actually two. The Streetmate, and Streetmate R which is offered from Tomos.

While both to me, look pretty nice. Streetmate looks a-lot more comfortable to be riding, and I like how the whole thing looks. Streetmate R looks more like a little sport-bike to me, but it has a pedal on it also, thus taking away from the looks.

Also if I’m not wrong, both are automatics. Which means you don’t have to worry about messing with the gears on the road. Even though I do want a manual one, this automatic thing will do for now. I’m mainly enjoying the idea of how much gas I can save using either one as a regular commuter.
