The 2010 Infiniti G37 sedan gets better and better with top-notch steering, agile handling, quick clean breaking and supportive sport seats. The sedan gets a refreshing make-over with new front and rear appearance, new updated high-tech features and options, a redesigned center console along with new grille, gauges and metallic accents. Mechanically, not much has changed although the four-wheel active steering option that was available in previous years has been put to rest and the overall shape has remained unchanged, this model does however go fast and looks good while keeping the occupants inside comfortable and well entertained.
The 2010 G37 has four available trim levels with the base trim level G37 offering alloyed 17-inch wheels, upholstery made with leather, automated climate control, a powered driver seat, an auxiliary audio jack, a tilt-and –telescoping steering column, keyless entry and ignition, xenon headlights, an audio system with six speakers, a CD/MP3 unit, and satellite radio. The trim level Journey includes dual-zoned climate control, automatic headlights, a six-CD changer, and a powered passenger front seat. The G37x trim level offers heated front seats and outside mirrors for the all-wheel drive model. The trim level Sport 6MT includes 18-inches of wheels, brakes that have been upgraded, a limited-slip differential and seats with added support for the thigh and torso.
There is a Premium package that includes a sunroof, a powered tilt-and-telescoping steering column, assisted rear parking, Bluetooth, driver memory settings, an audio system that has been upgraded and iPod. Also available this year is a Navigation package that includes a touchscreen navigational hard-drive based system, a rearview camera, controls that are voice-activated and 9MB of music storage. There is also a Technology package that adds a climate control system that has been upgraded and adaptive headlights and cruise control while the Sport package offers a rear spoiler, 19-inches of wheels and wood interior trim.
The 2010 Infiniti G37 Sedan is powered by a powerful V-6 3.7-liter engine producing 328 horses and 270 foot pound of torque paired with a seven-speed automatic tranny for the Base while the trim level Sport 6MT comes with a six-speed manual tranny. All the G37 Infiniti’s are RWD but the G37x is only available as an AWD. It has a speed of 0-60 in a 5.4 second time while the convertible can carry out 0-60 mph in 6.0 seconds. Fuel economy is rated for the automatic transmission models at 18/26/21; the Sport 6MT is rated at 17/15/20 and the AWD is estimated at 18/25/20 mpg.
While the G37 offers easy to use controls, comfortable front seats and an awesome stereo system with nice clear sound, it does however make annoying noise when traveling at higher speeds and shifting seems rather lumpy. The 2010 Infiniti G37 does remain assertive and sporty that it is strongly commendable in a Sedan.
