So you have a car but you know it looks disgusting and want to have it detailed. You want to go get it cleaned but you don’t want to spend a few hundred bucks on it either. You want to make your car look great on a budget. This article will give you a few tips on how to detail your car on a nice budget. Read on.

The first thing that you will have to buy is all the cleaning supplies. You can get the supplies at many stores where you live. You don’t have to necessarily buy a cleaner made to clean cars. For example, for cleaning the floors of your car you just need to buy a good carpet cleaner.

Now you should get your supplies for the outside of the car. You can get a bucket and fill it up with warm water and also put some kind of window or dish cleaner. You should now take a rag (old t-shirt, old towel) and wash the outside of the car. Make sure it is not too hard or you can damage the paint job on it. You should also clean the wipers and open up the doors to get those hard to reach places. When you have thoroughly cleaned your vehicle you should now wash it down with a hose (make sure it’s gentle) then wipe it with a clean and dry towel.

Now that you have some of the outside of the car done you should work on the inside. If your car has a lot of trash in your car you should get a trash bag to clean it out. You will basically need to take anything out of the car that is not needed. That would include clothes, shoes, make-up, water bottles, coffee mugs, food (yes, people leave food in there cars) and whatever else shouldn’t be in there.

Now you can vacuum your inside to get in really clean. You should get one that is small enough to get all of the small places of your vehicle but needs to have enough suction power. A Shop Vac would be a great vacuum to use. You should make sure you clean all of the hard to reach places as well. Under the front seats as well as by the peddles in the drivers seat should be vacuumed.

Once you vacuumed everything you can now start cleaning the carpets. You should use a good carpet cleaner and spray it over your floors and seats. If your car has deep stains you should spray a little bit more on them. Now get a towel and wet it in warm water to wash your carpet. Make sure you get those deep stains as well. Use more carpet cleaner for the hard stains that are not cleaning.

Now you should take a dry towel and rub your floors and seats dry. You may need to use a Shop Vac or a vacuum that is waterproof to really clean your car. If you don’t have a waterproof vacuum you can try borrowing one from your friends or try renting one.

Once that is finished you will now need to take a damp towel to wipe all of the surfaces of the inside of the car. That means the dashboard, door panels, back of seats, center consoles and steering wheel. Dry all of the surfaces off with your dry cloth or towel. To get a nice finish on your vehicle you should use Armor All spray. You can spray some on your towel and wipe it on your surfaces.

You should start to clean the inside and outside windows. Use a nice window cleaner or you can mix vinegar and water together. Also, keep in mind that you should not use a paper towel on your windows. This leaves a lot of lint and it makes your windows look awful.

Last but not least, wax your car so it has a nice shine. Follow the steps on your wax to really make your car looking great.
