How to Jumpstart a Vehicle’s Battery

I know all of us who have been driving for at least a couple years have gotten in our vehicles, and bam….. It doesn’t start.  Most of the time you have a dead battery.  Thankfully your vehicle is parked right next to your relatives, friends, or neighbor’s vehicle! In order for you to get your vehicle jump started, you need the cables to hook up the battery posts.  Before connecting the booster battery, make sure the ignition switch is in the off position.  turn off the lights, heater and other electrical loads.  Make sure the transmission is in Neutral (manual) or Park (automatic).  Connect the positive cable leads first on each of the batteries positive posts, then do both of the negative cables onto the posts.  Give it a few minutes and try turning of the dead batteries vehicle.  Once it has turned on, go ahead and take off the cables one-by-one in which order you would like, and boom! Your done!
