As it happens, some of the most fuel-effective cars turn out to be the ones that also have a reputation for being reliable.

On a new car, there is supposed to be a sticker on the window showing the gas mileage of that car.

The Smart for Two is, as the name suggests, a car that can seat only two people. It has a 4-cylinder engine with 140 horsepower. It runs on diesel oil.

 

Suzuki Alto

The small size of the Suzuki Alto helps to make it easier to park.

Honda Civic Hybrid

The site http://www.fueleconomy.gov  allows you to search by model, year or miles per gallon for fuel-efficient cars. The cars listed on that sight include hybrid cars such as the Toyota Insight, as well as many others.

 

Volkswagen is currently developing a car that will be able to run 285 miles on just one gallon of gas. That’s right, 100 kilometers on only a liter of gas. The car will be available in 2013.

    Great advice on how to choose the most fuel efficient cars. Fuel is the variable cost that will be dominant after the purchase. Choose well, save money in the long run.
