I realize that there are people out there who think that safe driving is for the birds. These are the sorts of folks you might find cruising down the local highway at 70 miles per hour, throwing empty soda cups and hamburger wrappers out the window as they go by. Maybe that’s cool driving for cool worlders, however, excuse me for being a defensive driver when you go by, realizing that your motto just might be, “If you don’t like the way I drive, stay home.” Attending a defensive driving course might help you to meet someone who you could carpool with, as well as help you learn how to deal with vehicles that are accidents waiting to happen.
Then, there’s the person from out-of town, who has three screaming children and a dog in the back seat, whose turn signal seems to go on randomly, who is driving at about 20 miles per hour on the local highway. This is the sort of vehicle that might be communicating to you, “Hit me – I could use the babysitting money.” Honestly, we want and need to avoid colliding with this car, or any auto that is being driven like it – and, a defensive driving course will help give us needed skills to practise avoiding vehicles like that.
Weather conditions pose hazards to drivers, and these are gone over in the class, which is something that pays for itself over the course of the year with the insurance reduction. Being a safe driver is important to a lot of us, accidents keep us from getting where we need to get to.
Going to a defensive driving class keeps a driver from spending more money on insurance than a person has to. Enjoy the fun of being a maximally safe driver, attend a defensive driving course near you.
