The Honda Fit 2009 Sport Model is an unbelievable gas sipping, fun driving machine! If you like soda or coffee or drink anything else from a cup or bottle you will love the Fit with its 10 cupholders. Yep, you heard me right! Ten cupholders. Two on the dash, 2 on each door up front, 2 in front of the gear shift, one on each of the back’s of the front seats and 2 on each of the rear doors.
Now, for all you pocket freaks out there-the Fit delivers with 5 pockets for storage; Passenger front seat pocket on the back, door pockets on each front door, center pocket in front of gear shift, and right side rear pocket. For additional storage there is a small cargo floor box in the rear of the Fit and a storage box under the rear seat. The Fit’s glove box is cleverly designed into a split upper box and lower box.
In case you are not convinced the Fit is one huge storage machine in a small package. With the rear seats folded flat to the floor and the passenger seat moved forwarded, the cargo space in the Fit is absolutely jaw dropping. At Lowes, the workers seem to just remove their hats and scratch their heads with a look a being perplexed. “Just how is that possible?” You will ask yourself the same question.
The Honda Fit-2009 Sport Model is equipped with an airbag system the includes the following system:
- Two front airbags (Supplemental Restraint Airbags) One is located in the steering wheel and the other in the dashboard labeled SRS;
- Two side airbags are located in the outer edges of the seatbacks;
- Two side curtain airbags, one for each side of the vehicle are stored in the ceiling just above the side windows;
- Fog lights are standard with the Sport;
- Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) if equipped;
- Low tire pressure indicator;
- Halogen Headlamp Bulbs;
One of the practical features of the Fit is the current and average fuel mileage indicators. My Fit has been averaging 37 miles per gallon without any special attempts to alter driving style to boost the mileage. This really is a remarkable machine. The Sport is equipped with paddle shifters and can be used to shift the transmission up or down manually.
Before you make your next new car buying decision and certainly before you consider comparable vehicles like the Toyota Yarus which is also a big hit, test drive a Honda Fit Sport Model. You will not be disappointed and above all else, you certainly will not be visiting your local gas station any time soon!!
