Ford Expands Use of Airbags in Seatbelts

Detroit – Ford continues to develop airbags or seatbelt airbag in a car. Where as in the past on Ford cars in the U.S., Ford has started to develop a safety feature on Ford cars for the European car market.

Reported by IOL Motoring, Ford was currently conducting research at the Center for Research and Technology in Aachen, Germany to ensure the safety features in accordance with EU safety legislation.

Ford has developed a car seatbelt airbag in a number of years. These features are considered able to better protect the rear passengers.
