How to Drive Safely Around Children

Drivers can avoid harming children by learning a few pedestrians in traffic safety rules.

 Steps 

  1. Look carefully after children who walk or bike when you are out with the back of the garage or driveway.
  2. Slow down and pay attention to children in neighborhoods where there are schools.
  3. Watch for children walking on streets where no sidewalks.
  4. Watch for children playing near the bus station or waiting in stations.
  5. Drive carefully in neighborhoods where children can appear suddenly from behind a parked car, on foot or bicycle.
