Predicate most economic hybrid car in the world that carried the Toyota Prius, started getting resistance from manufacturers from the United States, Ford’s new C-Max hybrid issued.
Reported Inautonews, Monday, August 27, 2012, the test results mentioned Ford C-Max is able to carve a 47 mpg (19.9 km / liter) in the city and highway.
The results were quite impressive, though not able to beat the Prius. Because hybrids from Japan’s car with a 51 mpg (21.6 km / liter) in the city and 49 mpg (20.8 km / liter) on the highway. But interestingly, the results achieved by Ford C-Max is able to beat the Prius V wagon version with the advantages of 7 mpg (2.9 liters).
“All New C-Max hybrid is a great symbol of how Ford has turned into a leader of technology and fuel efficiency,” said Vice President Ford, Joe Bakaj.
In addition to the electric motor, the Ford C-Max equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that can catapult power 188 hp. Ford C-Max is priced at U.S. $ 25,995 or about Rp247 million.
While the Toyota Prius V 2012 models released with a price of U.S. $ 27,310 or about Rp259 million. That means Ford C-Max less U.S. $ 1,315 or about Rp12, 5 million of the Toyota Prius V.
