Greetings, dear readers. I’m just a little bit thrilled to have read on Autoblog today that Cadillac isn’t stopping at the ATS sedan and the XTS (admittedly feeble) flagship sedan. Statements by a Cadillac marketing executive indicate that the General’s luxury marque will be adding several new models, including a refitted Escalade, a pocket-SUV to complete with the upcoming BMW X1 and Audi Q3, as well as the Cadillac ELR, which will be a redesign of the Chevrolet Volt. I hope that one’s a success; as an American taxpayer, I want to see General Motors make as much money as possible off of the tooling for that vehicle that was funded against my better judgement. The best thing I read in this article though, is that something based on ideas presented in the awesome Cadillac Ciel concept will be made available to the common man. That’s the S-Class/7 Series/A8 fighter the US needs, seeing as Lincoln is too lame-duck to offer anything attractive.
