The Mercedes S-class Sedan

In recent years, those from AMG Mercedes  have been obsessed by trying to beat BMW M engines in terms of maximum power. And they did just that, but not faster cars on the circuit.The Bavarians still hold the key to brilliant suspension settings.

But the problem is that AMG bet everything on big engines, almost “American” as displacement. A 6.2-liter V8 does not have anything to do with efficiency and pollution standards. So AMG began reducing top cylinder engines, but compensates with supercharging technology, and the results are better than we imagined.

The Mercedes S-Class sedan, has received such an engine. Until now, the german limo bet on a S63 AMG V8 6.2 liter, whose maximum output was 525 hp.

The new S 63 AMG gets a new V8, 5.5 liters, this time producing 571 horsepower due two supercharging turbines.Its maximum torque reaches 900 Nm, a huge amount even for a car the size of S-Class.
