After driving at least 3,000 miles you need to give your vehicle an oil change to clean it from any debris. The oil in your car is basically equaled to the blood in our bodies. Instead of spending 40-50 dollars for an oil change at a shop, you can do it yourself for 20-30 dollars.
1. When you take it to a shop you pay 40-50 only for conventional oil
2. First you need to buy Oil, an oil filter, a funnel, and bring along some paper towels.
3. The tools you will need are a socket set, oil drain pan, vehicle ramps or a jack and jack stands to elevate the vehicle
4. You can get all this equipment at any auto parts store or even wal-mart.
5. Different types of oil are Full Synthetic, Synthetic blend, and conventional
6. You only get conventional for basic oil change
Get Ready!!
· Gather all tools and materials
· Run the vehicle for 10 minutes to warm it so that it can drain faster and can pick up all of the debris and move them out
· Park the car on a level ground and elevate the front/ with jack and jack stands, or vehicle ramps you just drive up on
· Pop the hood
· Find the oil drain plug and take it off with the socket tool. Let the oil drain.
· Now put the oil drain plug back on with the socket tool. Not too tight but not too light either
· Now take off the oil filter with your hand or if it is too tight use an oil filter wrench. Let the oil drain.

· Now that all of the oil has been drained get your new oil filter and with your new oil, dab a little new oil on the plastic ring of the oil filter. Hand tighten the filter on the car.
· Add the correct amount of oil to your engine, and turn on the car, and lower it back down on the ground. Let it run for 5 minutes and check the level of the oil in the engine.
· Once it is up to level or already is then your ready for another 3,000 miles!
